Yesterday Doesn’t Get Today
Learn from what happened, fix what needs fixed, then go play the next game.

Ohio State didn’t erase what happened against Texas by beating Kent State.
The fourth-down problems were still there. There are still things that need fixed.
But there’s a difference between learning from something and continuing to live in it.
We do that sometimes. We screw something up. Have a bad day. Lose our temper. Fail at something. Get rejected. And instead of allowing it to be something that happened IN THE PAST, we start allowing it to tell us who we are IN THE PRESENT.
There’s nothing wrong with looking backward long enough to figure out what went wrong. Just don’t stay there.
Develop a Problem/Solution mentality. Fix what needs fixed. Own what needs owned. Learn what needs learned.
Then go play the next game.
The downs of Texas happen in life.
So do the ups of Kent State.
One doesn’t disappear because of the other.
Neither one gets to decide what happens next.
